Welcome!

My name is Meghan schardt (she/they) and I am a Certified Clinical Herbalist, Flower Essence Practitioner, and death & grief care worker located on Kalapuya land, also known as eugene, ORegon, where I own and run red fawkes apothecary. though i am located in oregon, i do not only see local clients. my offerings extend to any location via telehealth session work.

my previous work was with the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism where i was the Flower Essence Clinic Program Director as well as a mentor and lead faculty within the Fundamentals, Advanced, and Clinic programs.

I studied under the lineage of Vitalist Herbalism, with teachers Mary Barnes, Paul Bergner, Kat mackinnon, and lisa ganora, and hold my certification from Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism. I have extensive clinical training, study, and practice as an herbalist. As a foundation for my clinical training, I also hold certificates in Fundamentals of Medical Herbalism and Advanced Herbalism. & i am always actively engaging in continuing education. i am a forever student, humbled by the teachings of the plants, my students, my clients, and the earth.

After a detailed intake session, I will create a personalized plan for you that may include herbs, flower essences, nutritional education, movement, sleep support, and vitalist practices. As a clinical herbalist, I bring in my attention to detail, appreciation of each sense, softness, and deep listening. I am grateful to step into the lineage of holding space for people to find their most vital selves.

I am honored to support you with stress management, nutritional guidance, emotional wisdom, sleep support, nourishing your nervous system, digestion and gut health, acute and chronic health conditions, generative (repro) health, and more.

I also have a deep passion for supporting animals and children with flower essences.

I grew up in New England surrounded by color and water and have always been a lover of nature and plant wisdom. As a child, I played in vegetable and flower gardens, in the creek that ran alongside my home, and waited eagerly each spring for the Peony wands to bloom. I can still feel the body memory of each season’s shift.

I hold an MFA in writing and poetics from Naropa University. Image, language, and sensation fuel the lens in which I understand the world. I remain connected to language professionally as a freelancer for Sounds True Publishing. I have also spent many years as a teacher’s assistant at a Montessori school where I worked with preschool aged children. The ability witness, sit in stillness, and honor their innate desire to learn was my favorite aspect of working with this age group. Play and self-advocacy over and over again—just like being a vital adult.

I’ve also studied the history and theory of yoga at Naropa University and Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. I love and honor the body, feeling its wisdom and emotional landscape deeply.

Thank you for stopping by. I look forward to working with you!
